Who we are

Haldia Samaj Kalyan Parsad has already covered 41 years in humanitarian services towards the development of the under privileged and disadvantaged women and helpless children who were passing the hard days in sordid misery and abject poverty being victims of social injustice.

Location

Situated at Nandarampur under ward No. – 2 of the Smart City Haldia in the District of Purba- Medinipur, West Bengal and 5 km. from the river Hoogly, Haldia Samaj Kalyan Parsad spread its activities in 6 (six) other Districts (1) Paschim Medinipur – Gopiballavpur & Belpahari (2) Dakshin Dinajpur – Teor (3) Birbhum – Lavpur (4) Purulia – Raghunathpur (5) Burdwan (6) Nadia of West Bengal and (7) Purnia district of Bihar till the end of 2016-2017 and now has limited its activities to the territorial jurisdiction of the District of Purba Medinipur and Dakshin Dinajpur.

Our organization’s mission is to build up a better condition of livelihood for men, women and children who are living below the poverty line in unfavorable circumstances. We want to guide and lead them towards the brighter future and render all possible help for obtaining Governmental assistance through our organization.

Together with some social workers, we have chalked out the strategy to perform the annual activities purely on the basis of baseline survey report. In the precise form the present annual activities at a glance are promotion of SHGS, AIDS (HIV) awareness camps, Destitute children Home, and Home constituted under J.J. Act, 2000, I.C.D.S. Project Skill Development Centre in the Basudevpur Gandhi Ashram. The humble targets of the Objectives can be subdivided into three categories e.g.:

Haldia Samaj Kalyan Parsad – Our Mission
To promote sustainable and equitable development through effective Support to all sections of people particularly vulnerable section of people.

Haldia Samaj Kalyan Parsad (Gandhi Ashram) has been rendering service to the Society for little over a decade. They are engaged in the welfare of children and women particularly those from the weaker section of the society. They have also been engaged in the task of rural development with sanitation and pollution control apart from promoting cultural activities, games, sports and library movement.

Our Vision
The main objective of the Organization which has been functioning over four decades as voluntary organization is to help the oppressed and distressed people through various developmental activities without discrimination of caste, creed, religion and gender.

The organization is keen to improve health, hygiene and sanitary conditions of vulnerable sector of rural areas through implementation of various community development projects like low cost sanitary latrines, drinking water, medical aids etc.

OUR SETUP

Haldia Samaj Kalyan Parsad (Gandhi Ashram) was set up by the founder, the life members and the General Members. The General Members elect the Executive Committee consisting of 13 members including President , Vice- President , Hon. General Secretary, Treasurer and 9 other members for a period of 3 years to look after the activities and Management of HSKP. The professional social workers and some highly experienced persons are engaged in each section to assist the Executive Head (General Sec.) in fulfilling the Social Commitment.
